Village Kids

Village Kids

In each classroom, Village Kid servants/volunteers meet kids right where they are in life. They help them discover God and His word on their level. To accomplish this, our program is divided into five different classrooms:

The  Nursery (birth-2 years)
The Clubhouse (3-5 years old; must be potty trained)
The Park (K-1st grades)
The Fort (2nd-3rd grades)
The Block (4th-6th grades)

Our classrooms are staffed with amazing Village Church servants/volunteers that are fully trained with an approved background check. Our goal is for these leaders to be another voice that is saying the same thing that parents are saying as they build a loving relationship with your child and point them towards Jesus. We know that kids are not just the church of tomorrow, but they are the church of today!

The Block

The Nursery is the classroom for children birth–2 years old. They will be introduced to God and begin forming relationships with loving leaders and friends their same age. Each week, the kids will participate in activities and songs that introduce them to Jesus and stories from the Bible. We want them to know:

  • God loves me
  • God made me
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the service.

The Clubhouse is the classroom for children 3-5 years old (must be potty trained). Each week, the kids will explore how God loves them and wants to be their friend forever. The Village Kids volunteers know that preschoolers need to move and interact while learning. They do this with hands on activities and engage kids by making the Bible stories come alive.

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the service.

The Park is the classroom for kids in K-1st grade. We want to partner with families to help kids become fully engaged followers of Jesus Christ. Each week, the kids dive deeper into God’s word and learn what it means to follow Him. This is done through engaging Bible stories, hands on activities, building relationships with other kids and group leaders, and through prayer. They will discover how God’s purpose for them extends into their lives Monday through Saturday and not just on Sundays.

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the service.

The Fort is the classroom for 2nd-3rd graders.

The Block is the classroom for our 4th-6th graders. At this age, kids really see the importance of relationships and group leaders help guide each kid in their relationship with Jesus, as well as their relationship with others. The Block digs deeper into the Bible through hands on activities, exciting games, and meaningful discussions. They will also discover how God’s purpose for them extends into their lives throughout the week, not just on Sundays.

Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to the service.

In Village Kids, our favorite color is ORANGE!

Orange is a strategy that represents a partnership between family (red-love) and church (yellow-light) to make Orange. At The Village Church, we love kids and want to see each one of them grow and develop a relationship with Jesus, but we know the church can’t do it alone. The church has approximately 40 hours a year to influence a child, while parents have about 3,000 hours a year. By leveraging the influence of parents and finding ways to partner with them in leading their child’s spiritual development, we are able to show kids who God is more effectively than either could do alone. Orange is when every leader and every parent uses the same strategy to reach the end goal of helping kids become fully engaged followers of Jesus Christ.
